Victor Etuokwu, MON - Non-Executive Director
Mr. Victor Etuokwu, possesses a distinguished banking career spanning over 32 years, with a proven track record in project and people management, strong technical skills, and deep knowledge of products and business fundamentals relevant to the financial services industry.
He played a pivotal role in shaping retail and digital banking in Nigeria. He was instrumental in leading Access Bank’s transformation agenda, contributing significantly to the bank’s growth trajectory and market leadership. His commitment to innovation and customer-centricity saw him lead various strategic initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency and service delivery.
Until his retirement in April 2024, he served as the Group Deputy Managing Director of Access Bank Group, where he provided oversight and direction across multiple business units and subsidiaries. He holds board positions in several organisations, including Unified Payment Services Limited, eTranzact Nigeria Limited, and the Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation. Since 2013, he has been a member of the Visa International (CEMEA) Business Council, contributing to global payments strategy and innovation.
Mr. Etuokwu holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ibadan and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Benin. He is an alumnus of prestigious institutions such as the London Business School, INSEAD, and Harvard Business School, where he completed several executive programmes in leadership and strategy.
